This is a large knitted piece I made in 2025. I started it in January at an art residency in Picton at the County Arts Lab. I continued working on it in February at an art residency at Macauley House Museum in Picton. I finished it at home and took some pics of it in our meadow. I dyed local wool with natural dyes and then spun the yarn on my Lendrum spinning wheel. The colour and texture decisions are all made during the dyeing and spinning. One I started knitting it was just a giant rectangle - 7.5 feet wide and 5.5 feet tall.
